Fishing sarasota

Fishing in Sarasota this month has been awesome. Just the other day I had a top water slam before 8 am with a snook, red fish and a big trout. Awesome action with the water temps cooling down a little. King fish are showing and my friends caught cobia on "my spot"

Snook season is open and I let all of these beauties go. Let's see if they are still hungry.

We had to through him back but worthy of a picture. The yellow tail we caught didn't make the picture but we caught a " " load of them and mangroves. Tonight is a full moon or close to it and we are going out on my friends boat to see what types of snapper will want to bite in the moon light. Night trips are awesome and I do them regularly.
This is a picture of a Shark we encountered in the Gulf. My friend used his water proof camera to get some good shots under water of this one hour battle that ended with a broken rod and a broken back. We touched the leader and set him free with only my arms and rod broken.

Charter fishing in Sarasota has now allowed me to devote my full attention to fishing. I have finally stopped spreading my self to thin between a Bar tending job and fishing. I am a full time fisherman. I have waited a long time to say that.

Here are some pictures of what has been going on as of late. That is Mike Burke and his 3 hour tarpon.

More happy people with slimy hands.

These fish I referred to as "hogs" for a couple of regular clients. We had some great days inshore in May.

Mike Green took it to his brothers catching all the over sized Reds and Snook. This party caught about 20 pounds of fillets over their two day excursion that included nice snapper, reds, and big sea trout. They went out the last week in May and caught a couple of slams.

The mix bag for Rodger and Scott

If red fish is your thing, I know where a few are located. Reds have been very friendly to Drag-on participants lately. All these fish have been caught within the last month.
