These are the big catches latley fishing here in Sarasota. See which one you think is my Uncle Mike.

Sarasota charter fishing at it's finest. A couple of nice days mixed in but the weather has been cold down here in the sunshine state. The fish fortunately have not been affected and this has been my most productive winter ever. Big Sea Trout, Reds, Black Drum, Sheeps head and other species have made there way to fillet table lately. Although I am looking forward to some warmer days ahead.

In shore grouper have been showing up. We have one more month to keep them until the ban takes effect Feb. 1 . Boo to that.

The last week has been bitter cold but the die hards are still out fishing. These reds are still biting even when the water temps fall into the low 60's. We also caught 3 snook in that same water temperature. Fish have to eat and I love to feed them.

Fishing in Sarasota this month has been awesome. Just the other day I had a top water slam before 8 am with a snook, red fish and a big trout. Awesome action with the water temps cooling down a little. King fish are showing and my friends caught cobia on "my spot"

Snook season is open and I let all of these beauties go. Let's see if they are still hungry.

We had to through him back but worthy of a picture. The yellow tail we caught didn't make the picture but we caught a " " load of them and mangroves. Tonight is a full moon or close to it and we are going out on my friends boat to see what types of snapper will want to bite in the moon light. Night trips are awesome and I do them regularly.
