Caught, landed and released

This is a video shot by Steve from PA. After catching at least 8 King fish and 6 cobia he decided to let me try fighting one of the cobia. We used my underwater camera to catch some cool video of this fish that I had to land with out the gaff because I was going to release her. She was 63 inches long and very heavy. My guess is between 80 and 100 pounds.

Sarasota charter fishing

Fishing has been great lately but yesterday was epic. I had one lucky client who caught big Kings, giant cobia and one 150 pounder Goliath Grouper. Steve was on fire catching 6 cobia, a few small grouper, along with about 10 king fish. He was so tired after the 6th cobia he told me to take over on the monster, after a 20 to 30 minute battle I landed the 63 inch monster that I could not gaff because I had to let her go. I wrestled her in for a couple of quick photos and sent her back. Today we went out and got a 40 pounder. Nothing like yesterday but always good to fill the cooler with one fish.

Thanks for the great time - Thomas will have lasting memories of landing the Cobia. You are welcome to download any pictures.
Cheers!

HI-- I just wanted to thank you for a great day on the water on 3/31/10. My son, Anders (8) and I had a great time. Thanks for bringing out your old bass rod for him to use. We enjoyed the Snapper action, the close calls with the Snook and the many Trout, the jumping Ladyfish, Pinfish and even a catfish. Anders caught the most numbers, the most species and the biggest fish. You did a great job of helping both of us and I hope to be back for the third year in a row next year. Anders had some great stories for his grandpas and his third grade buddies.

Thanks, Craig and Anders (8) Johnson

I hope you enjoy the pics and feel free to post this.
